What is CleanRoom IRE?

Restoring without validating risks reinfection.

Restoring systems directly from backup without first validating them risks reintroducing the same malware that caused the incident, infecting your production environment a second time. Newcorp's CleanRoom IRE provides a completely separate, air-gapped space to test and validate virtual machines before they are restored. Backups are verified in isolation, confirmed clean, and only then returned to your environment.

Prerequisites

What you need to use CleanRoom IRE.

Three requirements before enabling CleanRoom IRE. Rendered using existing stacked row pattern.

Tier III DR customer
Access to CleanRoom IRE requires Tier III DR enabled customer status.
VMware ESXi only
The environment currently supports VMware ESXi virtual machines only. Nutanix AHV and Hyper-V are not currently supported.
No automated forensics yet
Automated forensic and malware scanning tools are not yet integrated into the IRE. These are planned for a future release.
